Euro-Med: Israel Kills 103 Palestinians Daily in Gaza
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

DayofPal– The Geneva-based Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has accused Israel of systematically and deliberately targeting Palestinian civilians, including those seeking refuge in tents and amid the ruins of their demolished homes in Gaza.

According to the organization, Israel has resumed its genocidal campaign with renewed intensity while imposing conditions of life that are not only lethal but seemingly designed to eliminate the Palestinian population through starvation and an intensified blockade.

Since the resumption of attacks on March 18, Israel has reportedly killed an average of 103 Palestinians daily and wounded 223 others. However, Euro-Med Monitor underscores that the Israeli campaign of destruction and mass killing never truly ceased, with its policies of collective punishment and deprivation in place since October 7, 2023.

The human rights group asserts that these measures constitute clear evidence of Israel’s intent to annihilate Gaza’s civilian population by systematically eroding the fundamental conditions necessary for survival.

In a strongly worded statement, Euro-Med Monitor condemned Israel’s ongoing military strategy, which includes indiscriminate targeting of civilian dwellings, regardless of whether they are intact structures or mere remnants of destroyed homes.

“Without any military necessity, the Israeli occupation army has perpetrated daily attacks on civilian homes and shelters—often striking makeshift tents where displaced families have sought refuge after nearly 18 months of systematic annihilation. This is not random violence; it is an orchestrated Israeli policy aimed at exterminating Palestinians, dismantling their existence, and creating an unlivable reality,” the statement asserted.

The organization further highlighted the Israeli army’s continued use of aerial bombardments against homes occupied by civilians, leading to mass casualties.

In addition to the indiscriminate killing of ordinary civilians, Euro-Med Monitor detailed recent Israeli assassinations of administrative government officials, particularly those in the education sector.

Among the latest victims was Jihad Al-Agha, the Head of the Supervision Department at the East Khan Yunis Education Directorate, who was killed in an airstrike on March 23 along with his wife, child, and three daughters.

A day later, Manar Abu Khater, the Director of Education in East Khan Yunis, was also killed in an Israeli air raid, along with two of his sons.

The human rights organization stressed that these people, who held purely administrative roles, retained their civilian status under international law, as they were neither engaged in attacks nor held positions that would justify their targeting under the laws of armed conflict.

“Holding an administrative or civilian position within a government or organizational structure does not strip an individual of their protected status under international law, unless they are actively and directly participating in hostilities. In the case of al-Agha and Abu Khater, no such engagement existed, rendering their killings an unequivocal war crime,” the group declared.

Euro-Med Monitor also condemned the escalating Israeli incursion into Rafah’s Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, which has been under siege since March 23.

The report describes a series of gruesome field executions carried out by Israeli forces, who have allegedly shot civilians attempting to flee, leaving their bodies abandoned in the streets.

Approximately 50,000 civilians remain trapped in a confined area of Rafah while Israeli military operations—including artillery shelling, aerial bombardments, and ground raids, continue unabated around them.

Further intensifying concerns, 15 ambulance and civil defense workers have been forcibly disappeared by Israeli forces in Rafah, with no official acknowledgment of their whereabouts or condition.

Euro-Med Monitor warned that this constitutes a grave violation of international law, given that humanitarian personnel are explicitly protected under the Geneva Conventions. Their enforced disappearance raises fears that they may have been executed, tortured, or subjected to inhumane treatment.

“The ongoing detention of these humanitarian workers—without formal disclosure of their fate or well-being—amounts to a full-fledged crime of enforced disappearance and represents a flagrant breach of international humanitarian law,” the organization stated.

As the Israeli military offensive intensifies, Euro-Med Monitor has urged immediate international intervention to halt a genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people, warning that continued inaction will only embolden further atrocities.
