DayofPal- Hamas movement has issued a statement condemning “horrific massacres” committed by Israeli forces in Gaza and calling for urgent international intervention to halt the escalation.
The Palestinian movement denounced “the Zionist occupation’s brutal aggression and horrific massacres against our people in Gaza and aggressive schemes across the occupied West Bank”, accusing it of carrying out brutal attacks and enforcing policies that have left the enclave on the brink of collapse.
In the statement, Hamas urged Arab and Islamic nations, as well as global activists and human rights defenders, to increase pressure on Israel and its allies to stop “genocidal assault” on the Palestinian people.
“Every means possible must be used to break the siege, stop the killings, and end the starvation,” the movement declared, emphasizing the dire need for humanitarian relief and support for the besieged population.
The statement also took aim at the United States, accusing Washington of backing Israel’s military operations despite mounting civilian casualties.
Hamas called on world leaders to fulfill their “historic responsibility” by taking decisive action to bring an end to the genocide, which has already claimed the lives of 50,000 people and displaced countless families.
The appeal comes amid intensifying Israeli airstrikes and ground operations in Gaza, with international organizations warning of catastrophic conditions. The UN and aid agencies have repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire, citing severe shortages of food, water, and medical supplies.
However, diplomatic efforts have so far failed to achieve a breakthrough despite that Hamas responded positively to the Egyptian proposal that demands the release of five Israeli captives each week in exchange for the permanent ceasefire and Israel’s withdrawal.
