This alarming revelation comes as the supply of fuel to the hospital has abruptly ceased due to the persistent closure of borders by the Israeli forces which has occupied Rafah crossing for five days.
Notably, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital stands as the final bastion of healthcare provision within the Gaza Strip, following the systematic destruction inflicted upon the enclave’s health infrastructure and medical framework by the Israeli army, resulting in the incapacitation of 33 hospitals.
The hospital unequivocally places the burden of accountability upon the Israeli occupation, the American administration, and all pertinent stakeholders for any prospective calamity or exigency that may materialize imminently, potentially leading to fatalities among vulnerable populations, notably patients and children, particularly those confined to intensive care and neonatal units.
“We urgently implore all United Nations entities and global institutions to expedite the provision of fuel to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital with utmost haste, thereby forestalling an impending crisis before it reaches irreversible proportions,” the hospital administration said.
