DayofPal—Israeli occupation forces detained five Palestinian women during pre-dawn military raids across three cities in the occupied West Bank early this morning.
The detainees include Jamila Dahu and Jamila Kanaan from Ramallah, Maysar Al-Faqih from Nablus, Faten Hnaisha from Beit Dajan in the Nablus area, and Etaf Bader from Hebron.
Among those detained was Jamila Abu Dahu, a 65-year-old Palestinian Christian academic and researcher from Ramallah.
Born in 1961 into a family known for its political activism, Abu Dahu serves as Director of Program Development and Aid at the Health Work Committees and is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO).
Throughout her career, she has contributed to humanitarian and community initiatives focusing on women’s rights, reproductive health, and support for vulnerable communities, and has authored multiple studies on Palestinian society and gender-related issues.
According to reports, Abu Dahu was arrested after Israeli forces stormed her home in the Ramallah Al-Tahta neighborhood as part of a broader wave of raids across the occupied West Bank.
