After two days of manhunting, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed the Palestinian fighter Omar Abu Laila, 19-year-old, the executor of the Salfit operation at the junction of Ariel and intersection of Gite Avisar, on Tuesday night.
Hebrew sources reported that the Israeli terrorist forces surrounded a building where Omar Abu-Lila, the Palestinian fighter who shot and killed two IOF in Sunday in Ariel Junction, was staying; the Israeli occupation forces shot him dead as was trying to resist them.
Since 1967, Israel occupied the West Bank. More than 600,000 Israeli settlers live in the illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The international community considers the establishment of Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied territories illegal under international law, because of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 which states: "The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies."
Israeli settlers under the protection of IOF routinely attack Palestinians in the occupied territories, especially West Bank and East Jerusalem, demolishing their homes and vandalizing their properties.
