Palestinian prisoners partially closed Tuesday, June 13, 2023, a number of sections inside the Israeli occupation prisons, protesting against the abuse of sick Palestinian prisoners by the Ramla prison hospital administration.
The Supreme Emergency Committee for the Captive Movement stated that the partial closure of the departments comes as a protest against the Israeli occupation authorities’ rejection to respond to the urgent demands of Palestinian sick prisoners, including the prisoner Walid Daqqa.
The committee indicated that the occupation abuses Palestinian prisoners by preventing many types of food, stressing that such violations pushed prisoners to decide to partially close sections tomorrow against the punitive measures of the Ramla prison administration.
The main demand of Palestinian prisoners is meant to end the crime of arbitrary administrative detention, which has increased in an unprecedented manner during the past few months, resulting in an increase in the number of administrative prisoners to about 1,100.
