DaysofPal- Israeli occupation forces carried out demolition operations targeting homes in several areas of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning, amid continued violations of the ceasefire agreement. The escalation included gunfire, artillery shelling, and military movements across multiple parts of the enclave.

Local sources reported that Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward eastern areas of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while intermittent artillery shelling struck the same area alongside ongoing military activity.

The sources added that the Israeli army demolished residential buildings east of Khan Younis, sending plumes of smoke into the air and causing explosions that were heard throughout the surrounding area. In Gaza City, Israeli occupation forces reportedly fired illumination flares over the northwestern part of the city as part of continued surveillance and military sweeps in the area.

Israeli naval vessels also opened fire and launched several shells toward the waters off Rafah in southern Gaza, in a continuation of maritime violations affecting coastal areas.

The latest escalation follows deadly incidents on Monday in which a paramedic and a high school student were killed and six others wounded in separate Israeli strikes targeting two civilian vehicles in northern and southern Gaza. Another individual also died from wounds sustained in Israeli fire two weeks earlier.

A medical source at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis identified the slain paramedic as Maysara Salah Al-Khawaja. Another person was seriously injured when an Israeli drone struck a civilian vehicle in the Al-Mawasi area west of the city.

Israeli occupation forces have continued violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement through airstrikes and gunfire in various areas of the territory. The ongoing blockade and restrictions imposed on border crossings have further worsened humanitarian conditions across the enclave.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the death toll since the ceasefire took effect on October 10 has risen to 1,028, while the number of injured has reached 3,249. The ministry also reported that 784 bodies have been recovered during the same period.

The ministry added that the cumulative toll since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,038 killed and 173,357 injured.

Beyond the human losses, approximately 90 percent of Gaza’s infrastructure has been destroyed, while the United Nations has estimated the cost of reconstruction at around $70 billion.
