Family sources told Days of Palestine that the man was working in his farm, alongside with his wife and three sons, when the Israeli occupation troops opened fire at him.
“They immediately fled their farm,” a cousin said. “They did not see each other while running away,” he added, “when they arrived to a safe place, the three sons found their mother, but did not find their father.”
According to their cousin, they returned back to find their father wounded in his leg and bleeding. “He was unable to walk,” his nephew said.
The wounded man was evacuated immediately to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, the nearest hospital to the scene, in a desperate condition.
However, medical sources stressed that he recovered and described his wound as moderate. The family refused to have the name of the wounded be known.
