DaysofPal- The Government Media Office in Gaza has accused Israel and the United States of turning so-called humanitarian aid centers into “death traps,” reporting that these distribution points have become sites of mass slaughter, killing hundreds of desperate civilians seeking food under siege.
In a statement released Wednesday, the office said that within just 30 days, these so-called “aid centers” have led to the deaths of 549 civilians, the injury of 4,066 others, and the disappearance of 39 people.
The victims were all trying to reach food aid while suffering from extreme hunger under Israel’s complete blockade on the Gaza Strip.
“These are not aid centers—they are killing zones,” the statement said, calling the incidents “a full-fledged war crime for which the Israeli occupation bears direct and primary responsibility.”
The media office condemned what it described as a calculated and ongoing atrocity: civilians are lured with food, only to be fired upon in cold blood in a deliberate, recurring pattern. It said Israeli forces have been carrying out these attacks with chilling regularity and premeditation.
According to the statement, Israel is using food as a weapon of war, transforming what it claims are humanitarian efforts into tools of collective punishment and domination.
The Government Media Office called on the international community to intervene immediately, warning that this lethal tactic—disguised as humanitarian aid—poses a serious threat to civilians on a massive scale.
It urged the launch of an international investigation, demanding that those responsible be held to account, whether politically, militarily, or logistically.
The statement also renewed calls to open Gaza’s crossings and end the suffocating blockade, stressing the need to deliver life-saving humanitarian assistance to 2.4 million civilians, including 1.1 million children and more than half a million women trapped inside the devastated territory.
