Hundreds of Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli occupation forces IOF, raided the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Thursday morning, May 18, 2023.
Palestinian media sources reported that 400 Israeli settlers, led by extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick, invaded Al-Aqsa’s courtyards and performed provocative rituals.
These incursions came a few hours before the Flag March, scheduled for Thursday evening when thousands of Israeli settlers will invade Jerusalem’s Old City.
Coinciding with the settlers’ raids, IOF assaulted several Palestinians and attempted at evacuating the Muslim worshipers, including women, from Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Such escalating incursions aim to impose the temporal and spatial division in Al-Aqsa Mosque. Recently, IOF has frequently evacuated Muslims from the mosque to pave the way for settlers’ incursions.
Israeli settlers carry out semi-daily incursions into the blessed Mosque in Jerusalem and provocatively perform Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
Meanwhile, Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem continue their calls to mobilize at Al-Aqsa to confront the Israeli settlers’ calls for mass raids in Al-Aqsa.
In April 2023, nearly 5054 Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa mosque and performed provocative Talmudic rituals at its yards.
