DaysofPal- The Israeli occupation forces have committed new massacres across the Gaza Strip, killing at least 104 Palestinian civilians and wounding more than 200 others since dawn on Saturday, according to medical sources reported by Al Jazeera.
The sources confirmed that 78 of the victims were killed while waiting to receive food aid. 67 people were killed in a brutal attack on a civilian gathering in northwest Gaza City, while 13 others were killed north of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip as they waited for humanitarian aid distribution.
The deadliest attack occurred in the Zikim crossing area, where Israeli forces opened fire on crowds of civilians waiting for United Nations aid trucks, resulting in a horrific massacre. Human rights groups have accused the Israeli occupation of deliberately using excessive and lethal force against unarmed civilians.
Similar attacks were also reported in Khan Younis, Rafah, and Deir al-Balah, worsening the already dire humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave. The situation is especially critical amid ongoing mass displacement and a severe shortage of food, clean water, medicine, and fuel.
Hospitals across Gaza are nearing total collapse, unable to cope with the growing number of casualties. Patients are being transported in primitive conditions, with no electricity and a devastating lack of essential medications.
These massacres have sparked a wave of international human rights condemnation, with urgent calls for an independent investigation into war crimes and the establishment of safe humanitarian corridors. Despite repeated UN warnings of famine threatening over half of Gaza’s population, the Israeli occupation continues to block permanent access to border crossings and restricts the regular entry of aid.
Human rights organizations have stated that “death by starvation” has become one of the main causes of mortality in Gaza, alongside daily bombings. With basic food supplies depleted and prices reaching unimaginable levels, securing a loaf of bread has become nearly impossible.
