DaysofPal- Dozens of wounded and sick children in Gaza participated in an emotional demonstration today, calling for an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression in the besieged territory.
The event highlighted the daily suffering of children amid continuous bombardment and the severe shortage of essential services, with participants holding banners and images reflecting the pain and losses endured by their families.
The demonstration concluded with a press conference in which the children delivered urgent humanitarian messages to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, urging him to take strong and effective action to halt the war.
They called on Erdogan to use his upcoming meetings in the United States to advocate for the rights of the besieged Palestinian population, emphasizing that their blood and suffering should catalyze immediate international action.
The children also stressed the importance of supporting the “Steadfastness Fleet,” a humanitarian initiative currently being prepared to break the blockade on Gaza and deliver urgent aid to civilians, particularly the sick and wounded.
They described such efforts as vital for alleviating daily suffering and ensuring access to food, medicine, and other critical necessities.
During the event, the children raised slogans condemning the aggression and urging the international community to act swiftly.
The demonstration left a deep impression on attendees, highlighting the steep human cost of the conflict on Gaza’s youngest residents and the loss of their sense of safety and normal childhood.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have continued what the Palestinian Health Ministry describes as a campaign of mass killings against Palestinians.
The ongoing attacks have resulted in the deaths of 65,382 people and injuries to 166,985 others, with approximately 72% of the victims being women and children, including 28,000 children, underscoring the immense humanitarian toll on Gaza’s civilian population.
