DaysofPal — An American Jewish organization reported that the Israeli occupation has committed nearly 500 violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza since it took effect, warning that the ongoing attacks amount to a continuation of genocide.
The group, Jewish Voice for Peace, stated that the Israeli occupation forces breached the Gaza truce 500 times over the past 44 days, despite the ceasefire deal reached on October 9.
“The genocide has not stopped, even with the ceasefire in place,” the organization said.
According to local reports, Israeli forces continue to carry out daily airstrikes, demolish homes, and directly target civilians across the Gaza Strip.
The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed that Israel had committed 497 violations since the ceasefire began, resulting in 342 Palestinian civilian deaths, most of them children, women, and the elderly, and 875 injuries.
Additionally, 35 people have been arbitrarily detained during Israeli raids and incursions.
UN and media sources have documented repeated Israeli attacks and military operations throughout the ceasefire period, with critical civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and humanitarian aid efforts frequently targeted.
Jewish Voice for Peace and other rights groups have condemned these actions, warning that the systematic breaches of the ceasefire not only undermine prospects for peace but also perpetuate the humanitarian disaster and collective suffering in Gaza.
