DayofPal—Three Palestinians, including two children, were killed and several others injured on Saturday in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, despite a ceasefire that came into effect in October.
14-yera-old Salman Zakaria and 15-year-old Mohammed Youssef from the Al-Zawara family, were killed when an Israeli aircraft bombed a place near Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Beit Lahia project area in northern Gaza.
Witnesses said an Israeli drone dropped the bomb on the boys in an area from which Israeli forces had previously withdrawn under the ceasefire agreement.
In a separate incident, several Palestinians were injured in an Israeli strike on Old Gaza Street in Jabalia, another northern Gaza area that had also been vacated by Israeli troops as part of the agreement, according to ambulance and emergency services.
Medical sources also reported that a Palestinian man was injured by Israeli gunfire in the Al-Salateen area of Beit Lahia, while another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli strike targeting the Qizan Al-Najjar area south of Khan Younis.
Earlier on Saturday, a Palestinian man sustained a head injury from Israeli gunfire in central Khan Younis. Witnesses said an Israeli quadcopter drone opened fire near the Jasser Building intersection in the city center.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli forces have killed more than 71,600 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and injured over 171,300 since the start of the war in October 2023, which has left much of the enclave devastated.
Despite the ceasefire that began on October 10, Israeli attacks have continued, resulting in at least 481 deaths and 1,313 injuries since then.
The latest incidents add to growing concerns over repeated violations of the ceasefire and the continued deterioration of humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
