DaysofPal- Seven children, including four fetuses, have died at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, medical sources confirmed Monday.
Three premature babies died in incubators, while the fetuses were lost due to miscarriage.
Medics say the deaths were linked to the mothers’ severe malnutrition, chronic stress, and exhaustion caused by displacement and forced migration amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes and siege on the region.
The Gaza health system has been struggling under the strain of continuous Israeli attacks, severe shortages of medical supplies, and frequent power outages, putting the lives of hundreds of patients at risk, particularly in pediatric, maternity, and intensive care wards.
In related incidents, 25 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes since early Monday, with 20 casualties reported in Gaza City, according to medical sources.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health described the situation in Gaza as a “triangle of terror” composed of hunger, bombing, and lack of access to medical treatment.
Officials warned that supplies of essential medicines and medical consumables have reached catastrophic levels, leaving medical teams unable to continue providing care under current conditions.
