DaysofPal- Israeli settlers and Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out a new wave of land destruction and demolition orders across the occupied West Bank, targeting agricultural lands, schools, and family homes in southern al-Khalil and the Jerusalem district.
On Monday, Al-Baidar Human Rights Organization reported that groups of extremist settlers from the illegal Susya settlement bulldozed extensive agricultural areas in Khilat al-Hums, south of al-Khalil.
The attack destroyed approximately 500 grapevines and 350 olive trees belonging to Obaid al-Masri’s family.
The organization noted that the Khilat al-Hums area has faced daily violations for years, including recurring attacks on farmland and settlers deliberately grazing their livestock on cultivated Palestinian land.
In a separate development, Al-Baidar revealed that settlers began establishing a new settlement outpost Monday evening in the town of Mikhmas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem. According to the group, settlers erected several structures on Palestinian-owned land as part of the “ongoing settlement expansion that threatens agricultural lands and local communities.”
Meanwhile, Israeli authorities intensified their demolition policies in the southern al-Khalil region. On Monday evening, occupation forces issued a demolition order against Khillet Amira School in the Abu Shaban area east of Yatta.
The school, composed of eight caravans, serves 54 students from kindergarten through fourth grade. Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh noted that this is the second time the school has been targeted, after a previous stop-work order was issued last year.
Additionally, residents in the Yatta area received new demolition and stop-work notices for several homes. Among them is the 180-square-meter home of Musa Mahmoud Imar, which shelters six family members, and a 170-square-meter house belonging to Naif Bassam Al-Amour.
These actions come amid a broader surge in demolitions throughout the West Bank. According to recent UN data, Israel has demolished hundreds of structures so far this year, displacing thousands of Palestinians, including many children.
Palestinian officials warn that the escalation aims to cement new realities on the ground, particularly in Area C, which remains under full Israeli control.
