Amid violent attacks against Palestinian worshipers, several international figures expressed condemnation of Israeli brutality against Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Earlier on Saturday, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation OIC strongly condemned the Israeli attempts aiming at erasing the identity of Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
During an emergency meeting held in Jeddah, the Secretary-General of the OIC Hissein Brahim Taha held Israel responsible for the consequences of current violations in Al-Aqsa which cause instability in the region.
“Al-Aqsa Mosque in its entirety is a pure place of worship for Muslims only,” the Secretary-General of OIC stated.
In addition, British MP Zarah Sultana raised concerns over ‘escalating violence against Palestinians during Ramadan’ at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
“From deadly raids on refugee camps in the West Bank to attacks on worshippers in Al Aqsa, once again this Ramadan we see escalating violence against Palestinians,” she tweeted.
Zarah also warned against arms export to Israel which makes the Uk ‘complicit in the repression & illegal occupation of Palestine’.
Claudia Webbe, another British MP, called for an end to the Israeli apartheid regime over Palestinians as well as the ‘religious persecution against Muslim members’ in occupied Palestine.
Following the barbaric Israeli attacks on Al-Qibli Prayer Hall, congresswoman Summer Lee also shared a video of Israeli troops attacking worshipers, describing the scene as “unjustifiable violence”.
“How much longer are we going to let political bullies silence us from calling out these atrocities? US taxpayers should not be paying for any of this,” she tweeted.
Last Tuesday, heavily-armed Israeli occupation forces invaded Al-Aqsa Mosque and brutally attacked Palestinian Muslim worshipers. During their attacks, IOF injured at least 200 Palestinians and kidnapped 500 others.
