DaysofPal- In a devastating escalation, Israeli occupation forces targeted a structure that had become a haven for displaced families in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, unleashing deadly artillery fire on Friday morning.
According to medical teams, 12 civilians were killed, and many more injured when Israeli forces bombarded the Amr Ibn Al-As School—which had been converted into a makeshift shelter—with two artillery shells. Distress personnel retrieved multiple bodies and wounded from the rubble.
Even more tragically, Israeli forces pressed their assault by bombarding adjacent areas, where migrants had pitched tents, with approximately four additional shells, resulting in further casualties.
This atrocity arrives amidst a renewed wave of ruthless bombing across Gaza City as Israeli preparation for a broader military operation—codenamed “Gideon Chariots 2”—intensifies. The plan, endorsed on August 8, 2025, authorizes the incremental reoccupation of Gaza, beginning with Gaza City.
Since August 11, the Israeli army has launched a sweeping offensive across the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeast Gaza City, using robot-mounted explosives, heavy artillery, arbitrary gunfire, and forced evictions to dismantle civilian infrastructure and clear the ground for reasserting dominance over the remainder of the Strip.
