The JSC disclosed on Monday that Israeli occupation forces had targeted 215 Palestinian journalists in the West Bank and Jerusalem in 2022.
In honor of the National Day for the Injured Palestinian, the Beirut–based JSC released figures showing that Palestinian journalists suffer a hazardous working environment due to constant assaults and breaches from the Israeli occupation.
The Israeli occupation deploys weapons that are prohibited by international law in its frequent assaults on journalists.
The JSC has stated that Israeli occupation forces have no regard for Palestinian journalists, shooting at them even when they are donning bullet–proof press vests.
The JSC reported that 54 journalists were injured by Israeli forces in the West Bank and Jerusalem, the highest number of injuries among journalists, which they say is intentional to prevent them from covering Israel‘s wrongdoings.
