Birth celebrations in shelters

Days of Palestine, Gaza –Families in one of the schools used by Gazans as shelters celebrated on Wednesday the birth of seven children. “All the seven babies were born this week,” Najwa Ahmed, mother of one of the babies, said. “All of them were born inside this shelter.” About 3,000 people taking refuge in the schools took part in the celebration. “Despite the war and displacement, we spare a room for happiness,” Ahmed said. UN said that the number of Gazans taking refuge in just 81 of its schools is 238,004. Some of these people returned home on hope that a ceasefire was prominent on Tuesday or Wednesday, but they fled homes again when the Israeli occupation broke the last 24-hour truce and resumed war, giving its back to the ceasefire talks held in Cairo.
