Palestinian with special needs injured by Israeli gunfire in Bethlehem

A Palestinian young man with special needs was injured and detained after the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at a military checkpoint north of Bethlehem.

According to local sources, Israeli occupation soldiers at the Container checkpoint in northern Bethlehem opened fire at a young man with a disability walking towards the checkpoint without posing any threat.

The young man suffered a bullet injury in his leg and was detained by the Israeli occupation forces.

There was no information about his identity and health condition.

A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation forces closed the checkpoint in both directions following the incident, causing a heavy build-up of traffic.
