Gaza Police begin to protect the headquarters of the Central Election Commission

The Palestinian Police in the Gaza Strip announced, this morning, Saturday, that it had received an official letter from the Central Elections Commission to secure its headquarters in Gaza City.

The spokesman for the Palestinian Police Service in the Gaza Strip, Col. Ayman Al-Batnaiji, said that the police proceeded to secure the headquarters of the Central Elections Commission after receiving an official letter to secure the main headquarters in Gaza.

He indicated that orders were given to protect the headquarters and all places related to the elections.

He stressed that the Palestinian police will work hard to make the election process a success.

The Central Elections Commission opened - this morning - the door for candidacy and registration of the electoral lists, and this will continue until the end of 3/31/2021.
