Turkey: ICC's decision is an important step for holding "Israel" accountable

The Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed its gratitude for the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding its jurisdiction over the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967.

In a statement issued today, Saturday, the ministry considered this step is important, in terms of holding the Israeli occupation accountable for the crimes it commits in the Palestinian territories, and identifying those responsible for those crimes.

It indicated that this step would contribute to supporting the decision to secure protection for the Palestinian people, which was approved by the United Nations.

It also confirmed that the support of this step by the international community will have importance in terms of deterring violence practiced by "Israel" against the Palestinian people.
