The occupation floods hundreds of agricultural dunams with rainwater east of Gaza

The Israeli occupation authorities opened today, Thursday, water dams and pumped rainwater towards the agricultural lands on the eastern border of the Gaza Strip.

Local sources said that the occupation forces flooded hundreds of agricultural dunams east of Al- Zaytoun and Al-Shejaiya neighborhoods, east of Gaza City, after they opened water dams and pumped rainwater towards agricultural lands on the border, the sources confirmed that farmers suffered great material losses estimated to thousands of dollars, in addition to inflicting direct damage on their agricultural lands and crops.

It is to be mentioned that the occupation forces deliberately open these dams every winter towards the agricultural lands, without prior notice, causing huge material damage to agricultural lands and farmers.
