Britain calls on Israel to stop settling in Palestinian lands

Britain called on the Israeli occupation authorities for an immediate cessation of settlement construction in the occupied city of Jerusalem and any other places in the occupied West Bank.

The British Foreign Office expressed in a statement, today, Monday, that Britain's concern about the approval of the Israeli occupation authorities, to build 780 settlement units in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Meanwhile, the Office considered that the settlements are illegal under international law, and "undermine the possibility of a two-state solution, and threaten any future peace negotiations."
