Palestinian activists tweeted on Saturday, 10 June 2023 using social media platforms to express their rejection of the Israeli occupation’s plans to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Palestinian activists tweeted using hashtags supporting the Al-Aqsa mosque and rejecting the Israeli occupation’s plans to divide the sacred mosque.
Earlier this month, Israeli far-right wing member of Knesset Amit Halevi proposed a new plan to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews.
Within the plan, the southern part of Al-Aqsa Mosque will be allocated for Muslims while Jews will receive the central and northern areas, including the Dome of the Rock.
In addition, Halevi suggested changing the procedures for Jews’ access to Al-Aqsa, demanding that Jews will be allowed to enter the Mosque via its other gates.

The site is known to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif (Noble Sanctuary) and contains the al-Aqsa (Qibli) mosque, the third holiest place in Islam.
In May 2023, 5943 colonial settlers invaded Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards and performed Talmudic provocative rituals in its squares, according to Palestinian figures.
