A march of vehicles was organized in the city of Kafr Qassem to the city of Baqa al-Gharbiya within the 48 territories, in support of the freedom of the Palestinian sick prisoner Walid Daqqa.
The march started from Kafr Qassem, passing through several towns, including Kafr Bara, Jaljulia, Al-Tira, Al-Taybeh, Qalansuwa, and Jat Al-Muthalath, until it reached Baqa Al-Gharbiya, where the weekly support stand is organized in front of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque.
Participants raised banners holding pictures of the prisoner, Daqqa, calling for his immediate release, in addition to chanting slogans calling for his freedom.
The Palestinian thinker Walid Daqqa (60), from the town of Baqa al-Gharbia in the lands of 1948, comes from a family consisting of three sisters and 6 brothers, noting that he lost his father during the years of his detention.
Like other Palestinian detainees, Daqqa, who was previously diagnosed with leukemia in 2015, has suffered from medical negligence during his 37 years in prison, which has worsened his health.
The number of sick Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons has increased to 750, including patients with chronic and serious diseases and 26 cancer patients, according to Wa’ed Association for Detainees and Ex-detainees.
