Dina Nayef Jaradat, 23, a female Palestinian detainee, was set free Saturday, December 24, 2022 after 4.5 months in Israeli jails, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
Jaradat, from the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank, was arrested in an Israeli army raid on her family’s home in the city on August 7, 2022 and was sentenced to 4.5 months in jail.
Jaradat is reportedly suffering from a rare disease called hydrocephalus, and her conditions requires the sometimes removal of the accumulated fluids in the brain.
Nearly 30 Palestinian women are currently incarcerated in the Israeli prison of Damon, near Haifa, out of nearly 4,500 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli prisons.
