Palestinian detainees continue disobedience against the prison administration today Friday, March 17, for the 32nd day in a row, in response to the Israeli prison administration’s implementation of punitive and racial measures recommended by the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Information Office said that today, the prisoners decide to burn rooms in the prisons in response to the Israeli prison administration’s abusive measures against them and its procrastination in responding to their demands.
National Emergency Committee of Palestinian Prisoners Affairs stated that the status of disobedience inside Israeli prisons will stay until the Palestinian detainees’ announcement of an open hunger strike at the beginning of the month of Ramadan, March 23.
The Israeli occupation prison administration has been imposing collective punishments against Palestinian detainees, in response to their “disobedience” steps, refusing to be responsive to their legal basic demands.
On a daily basis, the Israeli occupation practices systematic violations, deliberate detentions, house demolitions, and deportations against Palestinians to suffocate and complicate their lives.
The number of Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation prisons is 4,780, including 29 females and 160 children.
