Israeli occupation court today, Wednesday, sentenced the Palestinian citizen Muntasir Shalabi to two life sentences. Shalabi is a father of seven children, he was living in the USA for years.

The life sentence in Israeli occupation law is legal, and the most severe punishment is almost implemented only on Palestinians. Life sentence usually serves within the range of 20-30 years.

Shalabi is a businessman has an American nationality who doesn’t accept the injustice, humiliating acts of the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.

The number of Palestinian freedom fighters sentenced to life terms in Israeli prisons has reached 547 by the end of 2021, today said the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).

It said that Israeli military courts sentenced three Palestinians to life terms last December.

Some prisoners serve multiple life terms, the highest is for Abdullah Barghouti, who is serving 67 life sentences, said the PPS.

Israel is currently holding over 4500 Palestinians in its jails among them children, women, and the elderly for being Palestinians.

Israeli occupation court claimed that Shalabi ran over a heavily armed Israeli soldier near an Israeli military checkpoint north of the West Bank.
