Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
Today marks the 74th anniversary of the Zionist gangs’ bombing of the Semiramis Hotel in Jerusalem, killing at least 20 civilians.
On January 5, 1948, the Zionist terrorist organization “Hagana” blew up the Semiramis Hotel in the Baqa’a neighborhood, a Palestinian residential neighborhood west of the Holy City, killing at least twenty Palestinian civilians and wounding twenty others.
Among the victims of the terrorist bombing were women and children, most of them from one Palestinian family, the Abu Sawan family, whose members took refuge in the hotel because it is located in an area far from the war zone.
For years, the Haganah, with the support of the British Mandate authorities, has been active in carrying out terrorist attacks against Palestinian people aimed at pushing our people to emigrate under the influence of fear and terror.
The “Haganah” is a Zionist military organization that was established in Jerusalem in 1921 and led the battle to occupy Palestine.
It also formed, along with other military Zionist organizations, the Israeli army, and a large number of members of the Jewish Legion, which fought on the side of Britain in the First World War, joined it upon its founding.
Britain allowed the Haganah to form a police force of 22,000 soldiers and helped it establish the Palmach forces, the striking arm of the Haganah, led by Yigal Allon, and the boys and girls teams. This gang has reached a level of organization, armament, and preparation, which allowed it to transform into the army of Israeli occupation.
