A number of Palestinian social and human rights activists and other Palestinian organisations launched Wednesday, September 7, 2022 a vast campaign to end Gaza Siege.
As Gaza enters its 16th year in a comprehensive, inhuman and illegal siege that affects all walks of life and as always has been described: “an open-air prison”.
Since June 2007, when Israel established an impenetrable land, sea, and air embargo on a region with two million residents, the blockade of the Gaza Strip has been in effect.
Basic supplies like food and fuel are in short supply as a result of the siege.It has also prevented Gaza from developing economically in the long run.
Chronic concerns, such as access to education, healthcare and clean water, have become more pronounced.
This has led Palestinian activists to start their campaign inviting people from all over the world to sign a petition that urges to end the illegal siege imposed on Gaza.
