15 Palestinian prisoners have been on open-ended hunger strike for several days in protest at their detention administratively, with no indictments or trials.
Prisoner Salem Zaidat is considered the longest hunger striker as he has been on hunger strike for 20 days.
The other hunger-striking administrative detainees are Mohamed A’amar, Mujahed Hamed, Mahmoud al-Fasfous, Kayed al-Fasfous, Ra’fat al-Darawish, Guevara an-Nammoura, Maher Dalaysha, Aladdin Ali, Fadi al-Ammour, Husam Rab’iee, Mohamed Khaled, Ahmed Abdul-Rahman, Ahmed Nazzal, and Miqdad al-Qawasmeh.
Meanwhile, prisoner Mohamed Nawwarah has been on hunger strike for seven days in protest at his isolation in Beersheba jail after transferring him from Ashkelon jail. He has been in detention since 2001, serving a life sentence.
