Days of Palestine – Hebron
Today, Saturday, a Palestinian citizen and his wife were injured in a settler attack in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
The coordinator of the Popular Committees to Resist the Wall and Settlement in East Yatta and South Hebron, Ratib al-Jabour, said that a group of settlers of Mitzpe Yair attacked Sa`id Alyan Awad (45 years), and his wife and children, while they were on their land in the Kawakis area in Masafer Yatta, and assaulted them, which led to Awad being moderately wounded, and as a result, he was taken to Al-Ahli Hospital for treatment, while lightly injuring his wife.
The settlers also vandalized the family’s car, said Jabour.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
