Days of Palestine – Nablus
A Palestinian was injured from military gunfire as Israeli forces on Friday afternoon suppressed an anti-settlement rally in Beit Dajan village, east of Nablus city.
Local sources said that a large Israeli military force violently dispersed hundreds of participants in the peaceful rally called for to defend Palestinian-owned land threatened with confiscation, east of the village, to make room for the construction of a new Israeli colonial settlement outpost.
Soldiers opened fire toward the participants, hitting one with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the foot.
Beit Dajan has become a scene for weekly protests against the Israeli colonial settlement activities in the occupied West Bank.
Almost every day, clashes erupt between Palestinian protesters and Israeli occupation forces in the village.
