Munther Siyam, a member of the Islamic Cemeteries Committee in Occupied Jerusalem, said that settlers performed rituals after storming Al-Rahma Cemetery, and desecrated the graves and violated their sanctity, with the protection of the Israeli occupation police.

A spokesman for the committee, Ahmed Samreen, said that the people of Silwan confronted the settlers and expelled them from the place, adding that it was not the first time that the settlers violated the sanctity of the cemetery, as they had previously held a ceremony in it, in a move aimed at judaizing the Arab character In Jerusalem, in order to empty it of the population.

Bab al-Rahma cemetery is one of the most famous cemeteries in occupied Jerusalem, and it extends from the Bab al-Asbat area to the end of the eastern Al-Aqsa Mosque, and reaches the Umayyad palaces south of the mosque.
