Days of Palestine – Salfit
Israeli settlers today uprooted about 30 olive saplings from the lands of Broqin, west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources said that settlers uprooted 30 olive seedlings, removed a fence, stole iron corners, and stole farming equipment from a land belonging to Yousef Sabra.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities, as the Palestinian Authority has no jurisdiction over Israeli settlers under signed agreements.
The targeted area is known as "Al-Wadat", and it is located between Broqin and the village of Sarta, close to the settlement of "Brokhin", which was established on the Palestinian citizens' lands in 1999.
