Days of Palestine – Gaza
Basim Naim, a member of the International Relations Office of the Hamas movement, on a press release on Monday affirmed that the religious and societal cohesion of our Palestinian people will not be shaken by any passing event.
He stressed that the good relationship with our Christian brothers is not the result of a political stance or tactical diligence for specific circumstances, but rather religion and belief that we worship God Almighty, based on the commandment of the Holy Qur’an for righteousness and kindness to them, stressing that Muslims and Christians are the children of this looted country, and they enjoy in it with full citizenship of rights and duties.
Naim pointed out that Hamas has, throughout its history, enjoyed strong and deep relations with the Christian family, and with all its sects and churches in the homeland and diaspora, based on the concept of partnership in the homeland, and this relationship has been clearly manifested in many political, social, religious and union occasions, and even in the protection of resistance and its men to address the Zionist aggression against our people.
He explained that we live under a racist, fascist occupation that targets all the Palestinian people and that no distinction is made between a Christian and a Muslim, between the Church and the Mosque or between the Monk and the Sheikh.
Naim refused to exaggerate and wear the state of moral supremacy and patriotic concern about the state of error in an internal administrative circular in the Ministry of Endowments, which was formulated in the wrong manner.
Naim said that we have no problem in correcting or bypassing any error, and from whatever, but he asked whether an administrative mistake could be described as a crime, a sin, and deviation from patriotism!
Naim added that we are living in exceptional and dangerous circumstances that plague our people and their cause, and everyone is required to raise the level of sensitivity when dealing with any public issue, especially those in a position of public responsibility.
