The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Sunday banned the entry of a young Palestinian man into the holy Aqsa Mosque for a week.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the IOA released the young man Sameh Da’as on condition of banning his entry into the Aqsa Mosque for one week and reporting to the police station on Thursday for possible renewal of the ban.
The Israeli occupation police arrested the youth during a demonstration on Friday against French insults to the Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.
Thousands had taken part in the demo that took place inside the holy Mosque in protest against the French cartoons. The Israeli police quelled the demo and rounded up five of the demonstrators.
