The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned today Israel’s recent plan to build 7,000 settlement housing units in the illegal settlement of Efrat in the occupied West Bank.
It said the move "constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the Security Council resolutions, and is a grave unilateral step that undermines the chances of a two-state solution based on the international legitimacy resolutions."
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry warned about the repercussions of this Israeli move, saying the international community should actively intervene to prevent its implementation, which only contributes to killing any chance of peace.
"The Israeli policy of settlement construction, annexation, land grab and displacement would kill the chances of peace and fuel conflict."
