Qatar has announced $150 million in aid to the besieged Gaza Strip over a period of six months to support relief programs in the Palestinian territory and efforts to prevent a coronavirus outbreak.
Under the directives of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, $150 million will be earmarked for Gaza to support UN humanitarian programs and local measures to combat the global virus, according to the Qatari Committee to Rebuild Gaza.
In this regard, head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya expressed his thanks to the Qatari leadership for its non-stop generous support for Gaza.
