Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mahmoud al-Zahhar has affirmed that his Movement has always refused to be part of any regional coalition game and that its compass is only directed towards Palestine.
In recent remarks to al-Mayadeen satellite channel, al-Zahhar said that Hamas never tampered with the security of any Arab state, stressing that its eyes would remain open only for Palestine.
“We do not want to side with any of the conflicting parties in the region,” the Hamas official underlined.
He urged the Palestinian resistance factions to be keen on having relations with any party that supports the Palestinian people with nothing in return.
He pointed out that his Movement’s relationship with Iran had started in 1991, but its support for the Palestinian resistance was always with no price.
