A high-level Hamas delegation led by political bureau chief Ismail Haneyya on Monday met with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha.
In a press release, the Hamas Movement said its leadership highlighted during its meeting with the Qatari Emir that latest political developments in the Palestinian arena, especially issues related to Jerusalem, settlement activity, refugees and the dangers threatening the Palestinian cause.
The delegation applauded the Qatari leadership for its role in supporting the Palestinian people in international events and its efforts to alleviate their suffering, especially in Gaza.

Haneyya and his accompanying delegation arrived in Doha on Sunday afternoon on the third leg of their foreign itinerary after they visited Egypt and Turkey.
The delegation was received by former political chief Khaled Mishaal and other Hamas officials who live in Qatar.
Haneyya is expected to participate in an Islamic conference to be held soon in Malaysia with the participation of the heads of state of Qatar, Turkey, Indonesia and Pakistan as well as delegations from 450 countries.
