Hamas movement has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authority for banning Palestinian Christian citizens in the Gaza Strip from visiting their holy sites in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the 1948 occupied lands.

In a statement, Hamas stressed that this move is a part of a calculated policy that the Israeli occupation exercises every year. In fact, the Israeli occupation exposes its proclaimed democracy and commitment to human rights by taking such racist moves.

Hamas also stressed that the Palestinians are entitled to perform their rituals without any obstacles or bothering.

Accordingly, Hamas called upon the international community to pile pressure on the Israeli occupation and force it to abide by the International Law and International Humanitarian Law that guarantee the right to worship and the right to free movement for people under occupation. Finally, Hamas called upon the international community to punish the Israeli occupation and Israeli leaders for their racist practices.

Last Thursday, the Israeli occupation authority said Christians in Gaza would not be allowed to visit holy cities such as Bethlehem and Jerusalem to celebrate Christmas this year.
