Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya on Wednesday evening discussed over the phone with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani the efforts being made to reach formulas meeting the demands of the Palestinian people in general and the Gaza people in particular.
Haneyya also valued the efforts of Sheikh Tamim in this regard and the active Qatari role in carrying out construction and humanitarian projects in Gaza.
For his part, the Qatari Emir reiterated his country’s unwavering supportive positions towards the Palestinian people, especially those in Gaza, pledging to take the necessary decisions to help the current efforts succeed.
In the midst of UN and Qatari parallel efforts, a high-level Egyptian security delegation has embarked recently on making shuttle visits to Gaza and Israel to alleviate the blockade on the coastal enclave and improve the humanitarian situation.
