On Wednesday, UN special coordinator for the Middle East peace process Nikolai Mladenov, has announced that there will be hundreds of temporary jobs for Gazans through the UN humanitarian program.
Mladenov declared in Twitter remarks that the United Nations Development Program- UNDP- Palestinian signed first five contracts creating much needed 3500 temporary jobs in education, health and public services in Gaza.
“This is an important part of the United Nation – UN – and international effort to avoid escalation,” he added.
After an agreement with Mladenov, UNRWA announced a few days ago the launch of a program to provide employment opportunities for 6400 citizens from Gaza.
The employment program supervised by UNRWA was funded by the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
