Days of Palestine, West Bank -Autopsy conducted on Sunday on the body of Palestinian executed in West Bank city of Al-Khalil confirmed he alive when he was shot in the head.
Palestinian doctor Rayan Ali, who took part in the autopsy, said that Abdul-Fattah al-Sharif, 21, was alive before the Israeli occupation soldier shot him in the head at a point-blank range.
In a statement issued by a Palestinian NGO, the doctor said: “The results of the autopsy were expected. The whole world saw on the video, which documented the shooting, enough proof about this. But the autopsy results reiterated it.”
He added that he would hold a press conference on Monday to give further details about the results of the autopsy.
The autopsy took place at the Israeli Institute for Forensic Medicine in Abu-Kabir near Tel Aviv. At first, Israeli occupation refused to have a Palestinian doctor taking part in the autopsy, but later on, it receded this decision.
Al-Sharif and another Palestinian were shot and killed by the Israeli occupation soldiers in Tel-Rumeida Neighbourhood of Al-Khalil’s Old City.

While a Palestinian was filming them bleeding and the Israeli occupation soldiers preventing paramedics from approaching them, an Israeli soldier loaded the chamber of his automatic gun and shot him in the head at a point-blank range, leaving him dead.
The video, which was at first published by the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem, caused an international outcry, describing the incident an “extrajudicial execution.”
Israeli army detained the murderer and put him in remand detention, then he was released, but demanded to stay for seven days in a military based in Jordan Valley.
