Days of Palestine, West Bank –Palestinian Authority (PA) security services have arrested more than 100 Hamas members and leaders during the last two days.

Hamas published the names of 108 of its members said they had been arrested during the last two days by the PA security services.

This arrest campaign came just one day after a similar Israeli campaign targeted more than 40 Hamas members and leaders in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli occupation accused Hamas of standing behind the latest series of attacks on Israeli soldiers, and based on the principles of the security cooperation, the PA is helping the Israeli occupation to crackdown on Hamas.

Member of Hamas Political Bureau Izzat al-Reshiq called upon the PA to release Hamas members and leaders, calling their arrest a “stab in the back.

Several Hamas members have died of torture inside the PA prisons; however, the PA claims they commit suicides and do not allow investigations into such deaths.

PA, dominated by secular movement Fatah, refused to concede power when Hamas won Palestinian elections in 2006 and, by the assistance of the Israeli occupation, committed violent violations against Hamas members.
