Days of Palestine, West Bank –An Israeli Jewish settler assaulted on Tuesday a Palestinian child in West Bank city of Al-Khalil.
Witnesses said that an Israeli settler aged around 45 approached the Palestinian child while he was returning back home from school and his him several times with a thick stick.
The boy was identified as Yusef Qafisha, 10. Medical sources said that he suffered several bruises in his body. However, his condition is not critical.
According to the witnesses, the incident took place near to Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the heart of the occupied Palestinian city.
Around 700 settlers live in 80 homes in the centre of Al-Khalil, surrounded by nearly 200,000 Palestinians. The homes are owned by Palestinians, but usurped by the settlers.
Many other illegal Israeli Jewish-only settlements are located inside and around the Palestinian city. Several main and minor roads in the city are specified only for the use of settlers. This deteriorates the life of Palestinians.
