Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli Jewish settlers damaged on Tuesday running water pipes serving Palestinians in the Old City of Al-Khalil, West Bank.
Residents of Al-Shuhada Street said that a group of Jewish Israeli settlers deliberately made holes in the plastic water pipes providing running water for Palestinian homes.
The water burst from the pipes, causing water streams along the street. Palestinian residents called on the municipality to quickly fix the damage.
Israeli occupation restricted access to Al-Shuhada Street after the Israeli settler Baruch Goldstein broke into Al-Ibrahimi Mosque and shot dead 29 Palestinians in 1994.
Later on, in the second Intifada, the Israeli occupation closed the street, and a military checkpoint was erected in place and it restricted Palestinian access to the area.
